Mission Minded (Wk 1): ‘Go!’

Acts 1:6–8 (ESV)

So when they had come together, they asked Him, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His own authority.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

  • POWER CHANGES EVERYTHING
  • POWER BRINGS POTENTIAL.
  • POWER HAS A PURPOSE.

Mark 1:10 (ESV)

10 And when He came up out of the water, immediately He saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending on Him like a dove.

  • POWER HAS A PURPOSE.

Mark 1:14–15 (CEV)

14 After John was arrested, Jesus went to Galilee and told the good news that comes from God.

15 He said, “The time has come! God’s kingdom will soon be here. Turn back to God and believe the good news!”

  • POWER IS PROPRIETARY.

Mark 16:15–16 (CEV)

15 Then He told them: Go and preach the good news to everyone in the world.

16 Anyone who believes Me and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe Me will be condemned.

  • POWER IS ACTIVE.
  • GO!
